E2 Raises Financing To Advance Treatment Of Pulmonary Embolism

February 18, 2025—Endovascular Engineering, Inc. (E2) announced it has secured $42 million in oversubscribed Series B financing to advance its next-generation clot removal technology platform for venous thromboembolism (VTE).

According to the company, the funding round accelerates its VTE treatment program, with an initial focus on advancing solutions for pulmonary embolism (PE). E2 stated it seeks to address critical unmet needs in interventional medicine while pursuing a new standard of care for both patients and physicians.

The company advised it is approaching completion of enrollment in its ENGULF pivotal trial, which is evaluating the Helo PE thrombectomy system.

The financing round was co-led by 415 Capital and S3 Ventures, with the participation of Panakès Partners and M&L Healthcare, as well as support from founding investor Santé Ventures. Two global strategic investors made substantial commitments alongside Cordis, which continues its strategic partnership with E2, noted the company in the press release.

The company also announced the appointment of Ruben Osnabrugge, MD, a partner at 415 Capital, and Brian R. Smith of S3 Ventures to its board of directors.

E2's Helo thrombectomy system for PE is for investigational use only. It is not approved for commercial use and is not available for sale, stated the company.
