Posted: 22 Oct 2019 12:00 AM PDT ![]() Highlights • A total of 257 428 consultations were recorded in all the 14 governorates in week 37. • The leading causes of morbidity among all age groups were influenza-like illnesses (52.3%) and acute diarrhea (33.6%). • 43 suspected measles cases were reported during week 37. Among them, the blood specimens of 35 cases were collected and tested at the reference laboratory in Damascus. The laboratory result showed all negative for measles. • Three acute flaccid paralysis cases were reported in Tartous (2 cases), and on case in Homs. The stool samples were collected and transported to the polio reference laboratory in Damascus. The all samples tested were negative for poliomyelitis. • There was increase in ILI cases by 17% to previous week, number of ILI cases reported in weeks 37 was 15991. |
